But I walked away from that life. Now I’m just Jason Bishop, bar owner; not Jason Bishop, Occultist, Exorcist, and Demonologist, Miserable S.O.B…”
After thirteen years of chasing everything that goes bump in the night, Jason Bishop thought he wanted a quiet life. At least that’s what he told himself when he left the paranormal scene to focus on the kind of domestic bliss he’d never been very good at. Turns out leaving his found family and thirteen years of fighting shadows behind is even harder than convincing the love of his life he’s no longer a self-centered asshole.
Now the clock is ticking as he’s dragged back into the life he left behind. The solution? Simple: find the missing daughter of the Voodoo King of New Orleans to stop an occult gang war and The Church won't kill his child. All he has to do is ask for help from the people he abandoned and give up his dreams of a normal life.
“I recognize a junkie when I see one, and being ‘in the know’ is your drug of choice.”
Bishop's Crossing is an adult urban fantasy novel that follows Jason Bishop and his colorful group of friends as they deal with vampires, self-righteous warrior priests, demons, and other horrors across New Orleans, racing against the oncoming war between dark forces that threaten the people he loves most.
Believe it or not, writing the book is the easy part.
Thousands of excellent books get released every year, and in order to be heard over the rest, I need a little help from you guys.
I'm trying to build a Street Team to help with hype and marketing. What in the world is that, you ask? I'm glad you did!
A Street Team are folks that help to hype the book prior to and after release by word of mouth, social media posts...and...uhhh...Carrier pigeons? Flash mobs? I honestly don't know the other ways, but I'm sure they exist. You'll be sent some stuff you can share out, and from be entered into drawings for some swag!

In part 2 of "your indie author begs for help", I'm looking to build a stable of ARC Readers.
ARC Readers receive an advanced copy of a book (usually in e-book format) so they can read it prior to release. The hope (not requirement) is that they will then post to Amazon, Goodreads, and other book-ish spaces.
If this sounds appealing to you, sign up to be an ARC Reader for my future projects below.
Using a quote from Spaceballs probably isn't the most effective way to tell you that there's merch available, but I'm a rebel that way.
Take a look at my shop and get...stuff. T-shirts, hats, mugs, you name it. The intent is to update the store regularly with new designs, so check back when you're so moved.

From his desk overlooking the haunted house next door, a place where Civil War bones lie buried in the yard and people say long-dead little girls beckon children to play, Donn writes urban fantasy.
A semi-finalist in NYC Midnight’s Flash Fiction Challenge and soon-to-be MFA graduate, he published the urban fantasy, A God in Middle Management, and will soon release his newest novel, A Familiar Man.
An adventurer at heart, Donn has watched the solar eclipse on a Costa Rican beach, wandered Parisian sewers, and stood beneath skeletal chandeliers in Rome. He brings his love of everyday creepiness to his books, book reviews, and the podcast he hosts, 10 Minutes in the Dark.
